At Callowell, our children have access to an inspiring and explorative science curriculum that develops their understanding of what it means to be a scientist. Science is taught one afternoon a week in all classes. In addition to this, our children also have the opportunity to hear from visitors, take part in workshops and use our fantastic outdoor spaces to further develop their science learning.
Every lesson focuses on a 'Working Scientifically' skill and a knowledge based objective. Children learn that these skills are how scientists conduct their enquiries and as they move through the school, they will become more confident in understanding which skill would work best for their own investigations in class.
